Pros

-Good Benefits -Good Customers -Great place to learn about sales -IF you're in APAC/EMEA still a great place

Cons

2 years ago, this was a great place to work, now, managers will suck the life out of you to try and hit astronomical investor expectations. -Don't care about any of the workers (especially the sdrs) -Unrealistic quotas -No work-life balance (60+ hours) -Reps are Abusive towards SDRs and reject their opps for no reason -Toxic work culture -No concern for Diversity at all -No Growth at all -Always look externally to fill roles -POLITICS THROUGH THE ROOF

First and foremost, any abusive or otherwise unprofessional behavior is not tolerated and should be reported to our People Team so that it can be dealt with directly. We’re committed to a culture that supports our employees and their career progression. Part of that process has been to ensure managers are having quarterly goal-setting and development discussions with their employees, and to provide both employees and managers with the training to make those conversations intentional and productive. While Worldwide Field Operations rapidly grows, we’ve worked to prioritize opportunities for advancement, with many of our current leaders having been promoted into their roles. We encourage employees and managers to set stretch goals, but my expectation is that those goals are realistic and attainable—as evidenced by the success of our most recent quarter, hitting our metrics across the board. My door is open to any employee who would like to discuss these or any other concerns further. —Mike Arntz, CRO and EVP Worldwide Field Operations

Pros

Benefits are good. Potential of growth if we have right leadership

Cons

I have been here for few moths and it's been a really bad experience. Even in such a small company there is so much politics and bureaucracy. It's so painful to get even small things done and you have to constantly push other teams to get stuff done which they own. Upper management and C-level hasn't helped at all and making things worse. People blaming each other all the time. No goal setting for individuals and no career growth plan in writing also. We have a lot of upper and middle management being from Amazon now and bringing all the Amazon culture here now. My recommendation is to not join this company and look elsewhere.

I’m unhappy to hear that your experience with us has not been a positive one. The engineering team is going through a fair amount of change as we evolve our operations to better serve the needs of customers and enhance our product. As Mark shared during the recent engineering all hands, while sudden change can feel disruptive, careful thought went into the realignment and its impact on the team and our business. Do we still have work to do? Yes, we do. I appreciate that you see the potential for growth. I encourage you to open up to manager and/or HR business partner, and my door is also open to you. Let’s find a way through so that you can feel good about continuing your career journey with us. — Kara Hamilton, Chief People and Culture Officer

Since 2005, Smartsheet has continually evolved to best serve our customers. With every such evolution, the constant has been our dedication to our purpose and core values, which guide our decision making process. One such value is to be supportive of and listen to each and every member of the Smartsheet team. Being new to the Smartsheet team myself, I’m grateful to all past and present Smartsheet team members that have gotten us to where we are today. We’ll continue to ideate and adapt to best serve our growing base of customers for whom Smartsheet is becoming more mission critical everyday. My ask is that you remain open to change and actively contribute to this next phase of our evolution and growth. If you have questions or feedback, I invite you to reach out to your manager or me directly. - Praerit Garg, Chief Technology Officer
