Pros

If you’re looking to join Smartsheet, please know that recent negative reviews are not an accurate reflection of the company culture as a whole. I’ve been at Smartsheet for nearly three years and have seen the company grow from 400 to now over 1100 employees. From day one the culture has been one of support, top-notch talent, transparency, and genuine enthusiasm for the product and our customers. That hasn’t changed, despite the rapid growth and going public. Smartsheet is a company of progress, not perfection. That means there will inevitably be some growing pains. But, with that growth comes ample opportunities for employees to drive improvements and make an impact. In my opinion, what makes the company are the people. Everyone I’m surrounded by day in and day out are wicked smart, creative, friendly, and embody company values, which pushes me to grow professionally and personally. I feel very fortunate to call myself a Smartsheeter.

Cons

The fast-paced culture isn’t for everyone. You can’t just skate by at the company….you have to bring your A-game.

Pros

- My sales development managers here have been nothing but motivating and supportive - They take the time to work with you on your specific growth needs rather than just assuming everyone is on the same experience and knowledge level - Management does a great job setting people on the right track for promotion and setting realistic goals - Company wide, there is a great team environment and everyone is pushing for your success

Cons

- Due to company growth there is a high volume of inbound activity. Being good at multi-tasking is a MUST! This can become stressful at times but is a good problem to have.

Thanks for taking a moment to provide feedback. I’m sorry your year with us was not a great experience for you. Regarding the title of your review -- we are not downsizing, quite the opposite. Over the past year, Smartsheet launched a Boston office and almost doubled in employee size (85% year over year growth from Oct 2016 to Oct 2017). We’ve continued to invest throughout all functional areas. And we’re looking to grow our teams throughout the coming year, expanding our presence in both Boston and Bellevue. Check out our careers page for current openings (smartsheet.com/careers). Wishing you all the best, --Kara Hamilton, VP of People Operations
