Pros

SmithBucklin is an amazing place to work. The management passes on the success of the company through 100% employee ownership as well as suprises like the new iPads because the company had a great 2013. Most companies would take those profits and run with them or give bonuses to the execs. The team I work on is collaborative and each individual is bright and knowledgeable. We are encouraged to partake in training and professional development.

Cons

SmithBucklin is very open to hiring younger people and providing them opportunities. Sometimes this leads to hirer turn over because in my opinion they don't necessarily know what is out there and they might leave to chase a dollar or two raise not knowing what I do from personal experience and a long career, that an extra dollar or two doesn't compare to a great work environment.

I have been working at SmithBucklin for nearly five years now and the company offers me a challenging, yet rewarding work environment I have found it to be a great place to develop both personally and professionally – and have experienced tremendous opportunities for growth This is a team-orientated work environment which will foster your ability to work well with others. You experience working with smart, driven, high-intelligent individuals SmithBucklin manages non-profit associations and offers employees the opportunity to work with nonprofit organizations to help them fulfill their missions It is a fast-paced work environment and service-oriented culture. Personally, I thrive in this type of work environment but it is not for everyone It is great place for those who want a fulfilling, meaningful job where they are busy and do not have the time to text and check Facebook and Gmail all day long SmithBucklin is 100 percent employee-owned – I personally feel more committed to my work knowing that I am also a part owner of the company
