Pros

Employee owned, flexible about working from home/in office/remotely, listens to employees and tries to implement positive change, upper management incredibly accessible to everyone, lots of room for growth if you work hard, offer overtime for lower level employees, a ton of transparency because it's employee owned, an employee stock program, awesome 401k program, matches a very large donation every year to a charity, encourages volunteering, I could go on! This is such a great company for millennials who want to work for a non-profit, make a decent wage, and experience a positive corporate culture.

Cons

High turnover in some departments, having to be available almost all the time, however that just comes along with being in the service industry

Pros

A lot of contact with upper level management, doors are always open and supervisors are very approachable. Opinions are not just valued but encouraged- definitely great to know that my team is consistently looking for better ways of doing things. A very solid company culture - heavy focus on growth, both personal and professional, the amount of learning opportunities and seminars prove this Hard work is recognized and rewarded- you don't have to worry about being unappreciated and the respect you get isn't dependent upon your title or how long you've been here High expectations for the work you do keeps you challenged and constantly improving- you know you're getting better at what you do, I've loved having structure but also room to take my own initiative Executives are held very accountable for their attitudes and embodiment of company culture - genuinely care about both company and employees' well-being. Managers take a genuine interest in your needs/background/what you can bring to the table- are super knowledgeable and supportive when it comes to implementing new projects Solid understanding of work/life balance- respectful of personal obligations and flexible with paid time off Impressive reputation- it's exciting to work for a company that's so established and respected in its industry. Incredible people- I have yet to meet a person at SmithBucklin that I haven't liked!
