Pros

Great team members. Variety in everyday work.

Cons

No transparency on performance reviews and promotions. Expected to take on the work of 2 people without fair compensation. Entry level staff needs are overlooked and not well met.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. At Smithbucklin, we have four progress check-ins in a year for employees to discuss performance and promotion timing. We encourage employees to share any changes they wish to see within their teams and the company to engage in an open discussion with their reviewing supervisor, HR business partner, or senior executive. We also survey employees throughout the year and take action based on feedback to improve processes, reevaluate policies, and identify opportunities for change. Pros

Really nice office with great IT support and supplies. The office was just opened in 2020 so it's basically new and very modern. The people are amazing and very fun to work with, especially when onsite. You will get to travel a ton which is fun but can be exhausting at times.

Cons

Service units are extremely overworked and overwhelmed. There is barely enough time just to complete the basics of the event, not at all enough time actually to make improvements. There is a high number of managers and above employees whose job it is to dictate the work to coordinators and associates, who are the ones doing the work. Entire associations are run by entry-level associates. For an organization that is mainly women, the benefits are pitiful. PTO is 15 days a year (no additional sick time), maternity leave is 2 weeks!!, and you are required to go into the office 3 days a week plus weekends.
