Pros

People - smart, fun, interesting, helpful when they're not buried Location - 3 blocks from BART/Muni, CalTrain Snacks - bagel Monday, fruit Wednesday, assorted chips, drinks, cereal, milk, candy Atmosphere/attire - casual Ethnic mix - eclectic There's a < 1 year old campaign to increase employee morale using a non-manager open-door group called the Mavens who keep their ear to the ground and convey feedback to upper mgt CEO seems sincere in desire to increase morale According to some customers, their lives and happiness are enhanced by Snapfish's products

Cons

Not grown up enough for a 12 year old company; still wishes it were a start up Minimal to no training provided; mind reading abilities expected High attrition HP bureaucracy; terrible intranet, internal processes Weak management - CEO is scattered, tho less so since the reinstallation of SVP Pradeep Jotwani; 1 sr. mgr. is MIA physically and from email often; another sr. mgr. manages by sarcasm; poor communicators Snapfish is tied to HP's printing/toner business Groups within Snapfish are siloed, e.g. RWS which serves Walgreens and Walmart, might as well be another country Salary/benefits

Pros

Worked at Snapfish between 2006-2010, and early years were great! Start up feel, very metrics oriented, data driven culture, high performance culture, good, smart and fun people.

Cons

in-experience management team, no opportunities or growth path for managers or director levels, very few promotions to Sr team from within the company. New CEO (Helen Vaid) is incompetent and not fit for that role -- she under performed as CMO of the US business and no one quite understood why she was promoted to be CEO. She has single-handedly destroyed the culture at Snapfish. It was very disappointing to see what we worked so hard for be destroyed that way.
