Pros

- Close of Bart and Cal-train - Good Options for Lunch

Cons

- Senior Management is in-competent with credentials and experience from mediocre places - Middle and Seniror Management plays politics, bullying tactics with employees - Instead of Open communication, Managers rely on intimidation, back-stabbing and verbal abuse - Lot of in-competent and useless positions with 'Manager' and 'Director' in their title. - Senior and Middle mangers take care of their own benefit instead of company or department. - No one in the management has any clue about direction of company or industry or market - There are lot of great companies in bay area, if you like your career then dont work here

Pros

Snapfish is a very vertical organization within HP, you get to experience the a very dynamic and constantly changing environment while being part of a solid structured company as HP. It's a very result driven organization, you can come to the office on a later time, work from home and dress as you wish but you need to get your numbers right. I work for Snapfish EMEA which is internationally structured with a lot of young driven people, in an environment which is pretty different than the overall HP corporate.

Cons

Too much focus on the US from Senior Management, International countries have always lower priority. A lot of remote working that sometimes can be frustrating. HP processes and freezes makes everything more rigid (platform, hiring, transferring, travelling) and this is a massive limit for an online business.

Pros

Great place for lazy folk. Incompetent? You'll fit right in. Good location for commuting to SOMA. Work-life balance is excellent if you believe in the 80/20 rule: That's 80% life, 20% work. Work from home all you like and take paid vacations without logging them; nobody's keeping track of how often you're not in the office so why should you? This is only good if you're not the one doing all the work, so good luck to you.

Cons

Remote teams in India and Europe are a challenge to work with in terms of time difference. No one will appreciate this work, unless they are in the trenches with you. Disgruntled employees. Gossip. Lack of trust. "Do as I say, not as I do" attitude from Senior Management. Management is a good 10 years behind in management technique industry standards. Management tries, but hiring outside consultants to do your job doesn't cut it. If you want a career in politics this is the place for you. I see a lot of future congressmen and women here.
