Pros
I genuinely love working at Socure. The mission is challenging and meaningful, and the people here are some of the smartest and most committed I’ve ever worked with. There’s real purpose behind the work, the pace and collaboration are energizing.
I’d read older Glassdoor reviews before joining and expected a tough culture, but my experience has been the opposite. Most of the team is direct, thoughtful, and passionate. At first, I thought the tone was a little intense—then I realized a large portion of the company is based in New York. Once that clicked, it all made sense: it’s just New York work culture—fast, candid, and honest.
Leadership also genuinely listens. They ask for employee feedback often and act on it, from improving communication to launching recognition programs. The new monthly, quarterly, and half-year awards—where peers nominate one another—are a great reflection of that.
In addition, Socure has exceptional leaders—both in title and among individual contributors—across every major function, including product, operations, HR, marketing, and GTM. These are people who consistently demonstrate what strong, modern leadership looks like. They’re strategic thinkers who drive clarity, accountability, and execution, while also bringing empathy and balance to the culture. Their influence is a big reason the company feels both high-performing and human.
Cons
The only issue I’ve encountered is with my direct manager. He repeatedly speaks negatively about the CEO and other leaders in private, which undermines trust and alignment. It’s discouraging because the rest of the company operates with far more integrity and focus on the mission. That behavior doesn’t reflect Socure’s culture or values, and it’s become increasingly out of place here.
