Pros

- Opportunity exists for those who seize it - Collaboration across the organization is 10/10. Compared to prior companies I’ve worked with - Training and education program exists and is extremely helpful in coming up to speed - Market competitors lack ability to compete with Socure readily in heads up POCs - Socure has expanded into new verticals and markets w/o the need to develop custom solutions, validating the value of their core products - If every company is a fintech (A16z) then Socure’s solution is relevant to every company, making their upside exponential - Culture is transparent and collaboration and thoughtfulness is encouraged

Cons

- Poor performers will be weeded out - the mission and goals of the company are challenging and not for the feint of heart - Sometimes you will need to do things outside of your domain or day to day responsibilities to win - Learning curve is steep (resources and collaboration solve for this) but be ready to buy in - Socure is a rocket ship. G forces pulled in flight are not for the feint of heart

Pros

Truly industry leading products that are used by the largest banks and public sector. Actual meaningful revenue that keeps growing in a double digit rate annually, even in these times where most SaaS companies have flat sales. Great compensation and benefit and relatively large equity grants. If you are an overachiever who came to contribute, you will be recognized. Very transparent management. Perhaps too transparent. A lot of smart hard working people. Work from home. Hard work but flexible If you filter the reviews by current employees you will see that most negative comments where left by a small number of past employees.

Cons

Demanding if you prefer a laid back employer. Focus on winning, numbers and performance. A lot of negative noise from former employees who where let go during two reductions in force and some noise existing employees who fail to understand that this is a young company that is supposed to grow and generate profits. As any company who was too focused on growth and had to switch to a focus on profitability and cash flow, Socure had to make some difficult decisions.
