Pros

Socureans are the smartest, savviest folks you will ever meet. Data science is at the core of our product offerings so our sales teams are heavily trained in data science, creating one ‘write your ticket anywhere’ career path IMO. I have witnessed unstoppable sales people presenting empirical analysis (proof of concept) with compliance, Vendor Management, and Product - and it’s best team ever assembled, at least in my experience. And our culture/people have evolved our go-to-market motion into something so special it should honestly be considered a masterclass. Leadership is extremely supportive, especially when you are expressing a focus on driving as much impact as possible. Because I’ve demonstrated this, I get to meet with leadership daily for calibration sessions on where to focus my time. The culture is serious about being autonomous (aka act like an owner) but amazingly the level of support, regardless of seniority, is extremely high so you don’t ever feel like you’re on an island. A great example of this is that our CRO spends over an hour each week developing and coaching me. He does this with each of his leaders to work on the areas where people need the most re-training, sticking to a battle tested playbook that has a crazy high win rate. That’s how serious they are about supporting team members who are driven to perform and to win. I also personally have found this to be a warm environment to learn and grow. I am thriving, and I see my team operating and delivering their A-game. This is where careers are made.

Cons

All of that being said, high performance cultures have pros and cons where ‘winning’, as a north star, isn’t for everyone. A Socure University PhD is a thing here and a badge of honor being a learner that demonstrates one’s fortitude for mastering concepts that are a-typical for sales professionals. People come here to work hard, to grind away - making small choices every day to do the hard work few are willing to do. It is for the top performers, the ‘sales athletes’, that want to achieve ‘mission impossible’ type of work and generate serious earnings. And that can make it tough sometimes. But the rewards are huge for those that like this environment.

Cons

Realizing the Socure mission at the pace we are moving is not easy and will not be for everyone.
