Pros

Softchoice is an advanced social culture that breeds performance thru a positive association of hard work and relentless enthusiasm - It Looks and feels like family - and there is plenty of room for promotion & advancement and examples abound. Office has a buzz - it's alive there. There are many soft perks as well; and the office itself was awesome even before you factor in you can bring your dog to work. Management gives employees information regularly to stay invested. Plenty of Social activities and Workplace relationships abound. The culture matters - when you see people whom have left Softchoice at other employers they don't often look or act the same nor are they nearly as effective. Sales are well supported with advanced analytics and marketing. Softchoice is likely the best awareness engine I have ever seen.

Cons

Softchoice has flaws - but a few are symptomatic to the industry as opposed to Softchoice as a whole. a) They are notorious for paying under market - but in fairness the companies that overpay and attract Ex Softchoice staff often aren't able to give the same stability and those people leave quickly. b) Management can be impatient especially over services and consultancy - where SLT seems to rush the process that can't be rushed. Or at times they commoditize high value programs for the sake of awareness - again very common. c) Management has bet heavily on TSD sales teams - but these teams while they do have a place as they are less expensive to operate - just don't sit well with clients and some further rebalancing could be done to ensure the right clients are in the right sales model. most of the industry is also struggling with same issue. d) The performance culture can at times distort work life balance. Not unique to Softchoice either.

Pros

Good physical location and interesting space.

Cons

Role was not as described originally. Managers and executives didn't support their teams and often changed their strategy without consultation. The work-life balance was awful.
