I got a paycheck. I got 1 week vacation after a year.

Cons

Hourly employees: No vacation first year. No paid sick time. Unpaid furlough. Prejudice, revengeful leadership. Leadership publicly humilates employees. Employees leave without notice because they're not treated properly and are paid way below market. Some seem to think it's because they are minorities. I tend to agree.

Good benefits (Vacation, Health Insurance, Sick Leave, Best 401K match out there) Great Location Great work / life balance Good people to work with

Cons

Base salaries lag where they should be for southern California. Definitely pay the "sunshine tax". Other companies locally pay better but the grass is not greener overall. With recent strong government contract work at other local manufacturing companies (Solar does very little government work), we have been losing some good talent to other companies recently.

The product is very cool, great benefits, decent pay, annual shut-down between Christmas and New Years, (mostly) smart people, gym / cafeteria,

Cons

Slow to promote, engineers get the best opportunities around the entire organization, not fast-moving on innovation, culture of people who spend 30+ years working for the company.
