Pros

A great place to be if you're not employed. Solera provides an opportunity to gain valuable experience from colleagues worldwide, but the overall environment may not be supportive. If you have a good supervisor or manager, you might be able to develop and learn a lot so support them as much as you can, because they certainly aren’t getting any support from upper management

Cons

Solera’s executive team shows little to no concern for their employees or leaders, offering minimal support and fostering a toxic work environment. VPs and higher-ups consistently make matters worse by resorting to threats, bullying, and intimidation of both top performers and their managers. This hostile culture creates a survival-of-the-fittest mentality, leaving employees to fend for themselves, which leads to disorganization, distrust, and eventual pushback against leadership. Permanent outages drain employees’ energy, and the CTO has been known to join these calls solely to threaten individual contributors actively working to resolve issues, displaying clear neurosis and an inability to control his anger, which permeates throughout the organization. Meanwhile, the CEO remains entirely absent, never making any effort to positively engage or communicate with employees he is, for all intents and purposes, a faceless figurehead. At its core, Solera’s executive team is the root cause of 85% of its problems. The entire C-suite operates with indifference and incompetence, creating an environment where dysfunction is the norm rather than the exception

Pros

My current supervisor is amazing. Does not micromanage at all and gives me the freedom in order to be successful. I get to work from home and travel nationwide. Solera lets you keep all your frequent flyer miles, hotel points and car rental points. I've worked with some great people within my department. They match your 401K up to 6%. That didn't kick in until a year of employment with them. They were arguing internally if they wanted to start that up again.

Cons

Was promised / written in my offer letter a 10% yearly bonus and yearly merit increase which no one has gotten in my department or other departments in YEARS. HIGH turn over amongst managers and co workers. I've been through three different managers since being hired. The first manager was great but was fired for retaliation. Second manager was absolutely horrendous and micromanaged the heck out of you. My current manager is a pleasure to work with. There is room for growth. Was offered a promotion which comes after my current position to a different department with more responsibilities but they did not want to increase my base salary. Internal promotions they take advantage of you / nickel & dime. You're better off leaving the organization.

Pros

A few good people with good intentions in middle management, trying to build company culture and improve the messiness that currently exists. It's a mish-mash of cultures and combined teams following acquisitions, so there is potential for the right people to earn trust and make an impact.

Cons

It won't change without a shift in leadership. There is no trust, poor communication, constant turnover, silo's and finger pointing. Decision-makers are detached from the business and unintentionally sinking the ship. They were not equipped to acquire so many company at once, and became hyper-focused on cost savings without supporting the infrastructure to keep the products and operations afloat.
