Pros

Ability to telecommute, great salary. Automatic part search system is a great feature. You can make your own hours as long as you meet goal (good luck).

Cons

Virtual environment you must use affects performance greatly in a negative way. Management is subpar and knows very little about Subrogation. What this company does not realize is that you can chip a company's estimate all you want, however it only costs $40 to file arbitration in which your audit is disregarded because you have no idea of the condition or the actual availability of a part. You also did not inspect the vehicle so you cannot say what is and what isn't a good operation to repair a vehicle. Arbitrators spit on these reviews because they are incompetent. Expectations for settling files is unrealistic unless you stress yourself out to obtain goals. Was constantly coached by management to reach 35 completed (you must call and reach agreement or the carrier must say they do not agree, you get no credit for the actual review of the file), however was given less than 25 files per day. I finally was given a better allotment and reach the goal now. What else is negative is that I tend to start my day at 7:30. I review my files the night before so I can make calls. I wake up with no new files, and randomly get a ton 30 minutes before I want to be off and can't leave because I haven't met goal and have been asking management to send me files, they tell me they don't have any and hope some come in, then they come in right before you leave. So your 8 hour day turns into a 12 hour day. You are supposed to fulfill this. All management seems to be very accusative and treats you like a criminal if an error occurs on a file. You are expected to chip as much as possible on an estimate, even if it doesn't make sense (carrier says a part they used was not in good condition ON THEIR ESTIMATE, so they use an OEM), but they want you to use that part and hope they don't catch it. They also want you to switch their alternate parts already used with cheaper ones (really!?). Then YOU have to call a carrier, get yelled at because all you do is chip and chip, then are expected to have 60% agreed at and an average of 10% removed from each file. When I began I was informed a large layoff occurred, so job security seems very unrealistic which is why I chose to accept a different position with a large company (including the aformentioned cons). I honestly have never written a review for a company I have worked for, however this one you should stay away from. You get 10 days of PTO and this INCLUDES sick time. The salary is enticing, but when it boils down the the lack of PTO and the effect on your conscience, take a position with an acceptable salary and better work/life balance. The money isn't worth it. You are underpaid for your time.

Pros

Was a nice place until they were bought out three times and passed along to by three different companies.

Cons

Not open to change, discussion of processes, and lead with a 50 year old business philosophy, one the managers use as one would use a stereo system installation instruction manual. Human Resource department is their for the company. not the employee. The managers are afraid of deviating from the pack for their own self preservation, and most have no idea about mechanics of the day to day operations of the department they manage and were put in place because of their dedication to the aforementioned Management philosophy,
