Pros

The base salary is decent, they give you free lunch every day… yeah that’s about it.

Cons

Where to begin? If you value you your sanity and your mental health you will stay far away from this place. The amount of shady things that go on with management (let’s not call them leadership) is unreal. Continuously doing things to benefit themselves or their favorites. When 5% of the sales floor is hitting quota month over month, you would think a change would be implemented to increase morale. That doesn’t happen. The only changes that happen in this place are for the WORSE. It is unbelievable how management couldn’t care less about their people.

Management doesn’t care

Pros

I came to Solera through an acquisition (AutoMate). The only pro I can think of was that they still lets us work from home. I didn’t really have a positive experience from start to finish with them.

Cons

When Solera took over they immediately fired 200-300 employees. I understand when companies merge you’ll have some position overlap but it was still a sad day and they weren’t given the opportunity to change departments or learn something new. The management team had no concept of process and we were often times left to figure things out in our own. The pay structure was horrible, worse for sales people. Anytime you went over your quota, the ceiling was raised and while it’s great to be a top performer, everyone has bad months. If you don’t hit your goal for even one month (not joking, one month is it), you’re put on a performance plan, then fired if it’s not reached. They don’t engage with employees to make them feel happy to be there or provide any company outings to bond.

Pros

The pros were the free snacks and the people who worked locally.

Cons

The corporate leadership. They did not care about employees. Maybe things have changed but this was my experience when I worked at Solera.
