Pros
I started with Sonic in 2005. I have seen a good company become great. I started as a sales team leader. I didn't know anyone at the dealership when I started. I was given the opportunity to grow which I have done. I was promoted to Sales Manager then New Car Manager then Used Car Manager and proceeded to be promoted again to General Sales Manager. After 5 years of hard work this company put me thru Dealer Academy and eight months later I am now a General Manager. I have a little college but no degree. Sonic does not care who you are if you work hard you can do whatever you want. I am proof of that. If you have a desire to grow this is the company to work for.
Cons
Negative people. Before you post something negative about the senior managers of this company try walking in their shoes for a day. They spend six months out of the year traveling from state to state to talk to every associate and show everyone the direction the company is heading and doing their jobs on top of that. Who does that.?? Our leadership team does. If you email any of the executives in the company they respond immediately even on Sunday.
