A lot of changes and instability

Pros

The company culture is strong and everyone seems to get along. The benefits are great (insurance, 401k, etc) Work life balance and ability to work from home.

Cons

Lack of cross department communication. Each department seems to only be working for themselves. Too many changes from from top level leadership personnel in the past 2 years

Pros

The best thing about Sonic Foundry is the people. For the most part everyone is very friendly and is wanting to get the same thing done. Great location for the office. Great benefits.

Cons

Communication between the company is lacking. Without giving too much away there was a plan for my role in the company before I was hired and after I got hired it was very clear that no one knew the plan. It made it quite frustrating to figure out what I was supposed to do.
