Sonoco has their priorities right. They always devote very significant resources to a safer work place. Work/life balance is excellent...hard work is appreciated. Leadership knows how to meet customer expectations and remain profitable...very stable company Plenty of opportunity to advance and take on more responsibility

Cons

Be ready to relocate for advancement. Oracle may be great stuff for financials, but it could be better for operations.

We take pride in filling over half of all of our open positions each year with current employees for their own development, and yes, most of the time that requires relocation. We certainly understand that relocating can be difficult, but we know our relocation team does a great job at helping ease that burden. Pros

Impressed how I was allowed a tremendous amount of freedom when choosing projects to work on. You decide how you add value to the company within your role, which is really cool! Sonoco allows you to grow within your role and offers great exposure and allows you to have lots of responsibilities right away. Very conscious of an employee's career objectives. Great family environment.

Cons

The only con I would have experienced is that in certain very specific aspects, the company is still a bit conservative from a risk-taking perspective. Nothing overarching for the whole companies, more in some very specific areas.
