Pros

The Sonos System is a truly innovative product with the ability to be the center of your musical life throughout your house. There are a great many engineers with love and passion for the products produced by Sonos and a willingness to share and explain the products and why certain decisions were made throughout the evolution of the product lines, as well as where the Sonos line should be taken in the future. Because of the great products and engineering staff I would easily recommend seeking employment with Sonos, but perhaps not right now.

Cons

Mid-level managers up to certain directors are unable to provide meaningful guidance leaving individual groups to to function as part of the whole without proper tools, resources, access to information needed to complete tasks, or training opportunities. This could be such a world class company with a few changes and were those in place I couldn't recommend Sonos higher as great place to work.

Pros

- Nice office space - Less structure and process than a typical Fortune 100 company - Relatively flexible on work/life balance

Cons

- Highly passive aggressive in many functions - Talk about transparency, collaboration and moving fast, yet don't reward the appropriate people, actions and skill sets behind these actions - Talk about empowerment, but the power, decision making and need for alignment still remains with a few at the top - Must fit in to the culture, if you aren't obsessed by music, you may not fit - The company is in transition, old vs new mindset, which has created cultural tension within the company
