Thank you for your feedback. We couldn’t agree more, our company culture is phenomenal and our people shape that everyday. Your point about management's lack of knowledge around products is a great opportunity for me to provide some context. We have two styles of leadership, and it sounds like you may be referring to our people management versus subject matter experts. At Sovos, we place strong emphasis with our people managers to be a leader of people, meaning those who love seeing others grow in their career, being a mentor and coach. This helps create that great culture you mentioned. And as such, we are able to lean on our subject matter experts to be those technical experts on products, which is why hiring the right people for the right role is so critical! Again, appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback and glad to have you as part of the team! - Paul Banker, General Manager

Thanks for the feedback. I am sorry that you did not have a better experience with us. The comment about aggressive managers, specifically, is concerning. This type of attitude is completely out of line with our core values here at Sovos. I will share this feedback with the leadership team so we can look into this further. Sovos’ senior leadership, as well as our HR team operate an open door policy, so I’m sad that you didn’t bring this to our attention so we could have taken action while you were with us. I wish you the best of luck as you move forward. Paul Banker, General Manager

Pros

This company offers a lot of really great benefits and seems to take care of their employees from a non-working perspective. Everyone I've worked with has been very friendly and welcoming. They offer very flexible time off. While they have physical offices, my job has been 100% remote.

Cons

My company was acquired via acquisition. The first year plus seemed to be promising. My prior company was much smaller and Sovos being a bigger company felt like could be a great benefit but over a year later things have not really improved and seem to actually be trending in the opposite direction. Workload increases seem to be far outpacing pay increases. The pay itself while nothing impressive is sustainable but not for the amount of work they have us doing.

Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. Being a part of an acquired company is challenging. It’s almost certain that there will be some things that change. Many of those are for the better. You mention our flexible time off policy – that’s a good example. Others might include the chance to work in a global organization, or an immediate increase in the job opportunities available to you to grow your career. Some changes are more difficult. But I do want to challenge the idea that our decision making is done by people who are out of touch with the work being done on the ground. While I don’t know for sure which organization you were a part of prior to acquisition – I do know that the leadership teams of our compliance services organization have remained largely the same. That means that the leaders who were part of companies before they were acquired are still leaders at Sovos. They play a vital role in our decision-making processes – influencing employment decisions, merit increases, process improvements, etc. We do this because we know how important it is to retain people who do understand the complexities of the job. But while I might disagree with the root cause – I still understand and appreciate your feedback. It is hard to feel engaged when you don’t understand how decisions are being made and that is something that we can and will work on to make sure you and anyone else feeling similarly understand. My door is always open if you want to talk to me directly! Paul Banker, GM
