Great Company in a Rough Transition

Pros

Great group of people, truly feels like a family. I understand some of the negative comments that have been posted, but I think it's important to point out that those feelings are localized to certain groups/departments. Like anything, it is what you make of it. I have learned a great deal in my time here and work with a great group of people. CEO has high expectations but understands the importance of a work/life balance. Great benefits, sick/vacation time, and 401k matching.

Cons

CEO and son have had a rough time transitioning management responsibilities, and it has definitely impacted employee morale. This effects some people more than others. Spanco needs to continue bringing in fresh, positive employees who are eager to grow with the company and not get sucked into drama and negativity.

Growing company in a growing industry

Pros

There's a lot of new talent throughout all of the departments. Mgmt is making some important changes to move the company forward. I'd say that in general, there is a positive outlook for the future. Great salary for the area. I like everyone on my team and enjoy coming to work.

Cons

Some of the rules in the company hand book are old fashion, but there seems to be more flexibility lately. There's good camaraderie between the employees in each department, but communication could be improved. Sometimes you don't know what one department is working on and how it could be affecting your work.

New owners renovating the company.

Business Outlook

Pros

This company was bought in October of 2021 and the new owners have been renovating the company. They realize that the employees are their #1 asset and have been making their lives better through improved benefits, increased pay, and more flexibility to allow for a good work-life balance.

Cons

There are some employees from the former company who want to continue to do things like they always have and don't want to be a part of shaping the future.
