Pros

Great entry-level job with tons of upward mobility if you're willing to learn and are coachable. Might not be for everyone as this role was commission only.

Cons

None that come to mind.

Pros

This jobs allows you to find a brotherhood of men with similar goals and aspirations. This was an environment that allowed someone to get involved with the gym and give that feeling of a high school football team.

Cons

Unfortunately this job is somewhat of a scam. Not necessarily to the customers, although the work wasn’t completely honest. The reps control the price of the panels and the price that someone pays per kilowatt of power. Therefore there are times will a rep will over charge for a kilowatt to make more money. Also this is a closer environment. If you’re a “setter” get out. The closers make 80% more than a setter over time. My team leader brought in 600K last year and the highest earning rep earned 40K. Doesn’t add up. There were 11 thousand dollar in installed project that was never paid out to me by a 3rd party installer. The company stopped using 3rd party installers and switched to their own installer. This included faster pay initially but over time pay was still held until the job gets PTO’d (turned on). The company still owed me roughly $800 from one job that has been completed for almost 7 months. This job will put you in debt unless you are the top 1% of closers. There is also a high demand for travel and all expenses come out of pocket. There are no benefits to this job. It’s is mostly designed as a pyramid scheme to advance the reps at the top. I would recommend a more secure sales job.
