The 1099 independent contractor structure offers the freedom to manage your own business, and the pay in solar sales is highly rewarding, especially for those who are driven and skilled in closing deals.

Cons

On the downside, the job requires a lot of door-knocking, which can be tough and mentally draining. It’s a challenging aspect of the role, and not everyone is comfortable with the constant outreach and rejection that comes with it.
