Pros
Some stores are flexible with scheduling, There starting to hire as many part timers as possible, hence the MART part. Good place for a part time job to supplement income. if you are a sommelier or management you should do well. No training what so ever, unless you attend tasting to further your liquor, beer or wine education. Office culture is very "Dr Jeckle and Mr Hide". They pay a little more than min wage because of the TABC training and food handlers. You will spend a total of one day per week educating your self about the products(sales people) beer liquor ect.... Wholesale sales reps do very well, drivers get lots of over time, in store wholesale workers work very hard.
Cons
Scheduling is hit or miss, they have gone from a wine sales company to accounting company in the last 10 years. Some Beer, wine and liquor sales people do well, most do not. You will never rationalize with management. there are maybe one, two or three good jobs per store sometimes management others department. Store managers are all bossiness, they are slowly loosing there people skills. Specs is no longer a place where adults purchase alcohol.
