Management can be strict with numbers

Once the revenue and subscribers decline, be prepared for penny-wise/pound-foolish decisions. 1-2% raises for high performers, holding off on staff, reducing offers to get a better "deal" on hires. The technology is heavily behind the times. Good software development practices are ignored, and the company laid off an entire floor of IT leaving internal customers in a lurch. Also beware of re-orgs. Many of the leaders are afraid of conflict, so will re-org you into another group to be laid off. The culture is very old-school, and I am OK with old-school management, but this is extreme. Meetings are often someone reading off a powerpoint, or reading numbers of results. And management does not consider you working if you are not in the office. The schedule allows for 1 WFH day/week, and should you dare to change your day, make sure you let people know well in advance (like 2 weeks) and remind people. And if you use your 1 WFH day, be sure to book any appointment or every thing you have on that day. Management does not want you to have any flexibility or leave early for any reason. Forget picking up a kid early and finishing up work at home, your manager will think you took a half day. BUT, you will sit alone at your desk talking to others across the country that you could do anywhere. But you are working since you are in the office. There is no career path. Literally everyone is a level 2, and promotions take an act of god.
