      Pros

      Spiceworks is a great place to work if you're looking to take charge of the work that you do and have an immediate impact. The degree to which information is shared within the company is amazing and shows enormous trust of the employees.

      Cons

      The environment can be chaotic and fast-paced. If you want stability and predictability, Spiceworks is likely not the place for you.

      Pros

      Obviously, the culture/atmosphere is the best that I've run into so far. I've done the startup thing where having beers at noon is supposed to be an incentive. I'm glad that Spiceworks isn't trying to be cool - they're being themselves and treating people like people. The collaborative atmosphere and overall "team" mentality is really rare to find - and completely refreshing.

      Cons

      I don't know if I see any yet (going on one year). One thing that I've noticed is that across departments, some teams are working on projects that another team is expert in - yet the project team doesn't consult the expert team. Seems like there is a bit of disconnect in that area.

      - Excellent communication from leadership - High level of transparency - Lots of individual autonomy/empowerment - Very smart and talented people - An environment where it's OK to try new things and see if they work - Fun culture, high energy, lots of positive attitudes - A solid company based on a proven product and a sound business strategy

      Cons

      - A very young workforce that doesn't necessarily have a lot of real-world experience - A fair amount of chaos from rapid growth
