Pros

Very wide-open sharing of all kinds of information at all levels. Relaxed, mature, attitude towards processes: the only that matters is progress. A corollary is the encouragement for everybody to make mistakes: fail fast in order to fail cheap and to move forward sooner. Beer on Friday! Food on several days of the week. Commercial-grade espresso machine! Explicit effort to broadcast and perpetuate company's culture, for example: two-day "orientation" for new employees, also attended periodically by current employees; every candidate is vetted by the highest levels of the company.

Cons

None, nada, zilch, zero, rien!

Pros

- An excellent company culture where creativity is encouraged. The co-founders really care about keeping it a place where people like to work. - Micromanagement is kept at a minimum so you get plenty of opportunities to own projects. - Flexible work environment - no clocking in/out, you can work remotely if you need to focus - Open office floorplan allows for collaboration - You can get real, honest feedback from your managers.

Cons

- Things move fast. Priorities can shift quickly. You have to be ready & willing to change direction.

Pros

As we all know, starting up a new job is never easy. The ramp up period takes weeks even months. Spiceworks has really put in the effort to make the new hire transitioning as simple as possible. They provide in depth training (depending on group/division) as well as detailed schedules and sufficient new hire collateral. To put this in perspective, In the past 5 years I worked at literally a hand full of companies (large and small, startup and established), none of which put in even half the effort that Spiceworks is doing. What does that tell you? Well, it tells you that they are willing to invest heavily in your success. I don't know about you but I'm not a big fan of working at companies that use and abuse your talent.

Cons

Nothing just yet. I'm sure I'll come up with small "cons" as time progresses but as long as we keep things as is (from upper management to the foot soldiers) I'll be content and continue to bust my ass for a good cause.
