Pros

Strong opportunities to grow beyond your core role—employees are encouraged to explore new skills, take on cross-functional work, and expand their expertise in meaningful ways. Collaborative and supportive team culture with genuinely kind, thoughtful, and smart colleagues who care about each other and are deeply invested in the company’s mission. Healthy work-life balance that allows you to perform at a high level without burnout, with flexibility and respect for personal time.

Cons

Roles and priorities can shift quickly, so you need to be adaptable and comfortable navigating changes to your scope and responsibilities. Success often depends on proactively communicating your capacity—there’s an expectation that you clearly voice what you can and cannot take on. Fast-moving environment can sometimes create ambiguity, requiring you to take initiative and seek clarity rather than relying on defined structures.

Pros

Splash is the kind of place where your work actually matters and people can tell. If you're someone who wants to own real problems and drive them to resolution, you will thrive here. I've had the opportunity to lead initiatives that touch product, compliance, engineering, and vendor relationships simultaneously, and leadership genuinely trusts you to run with them. That level of autonomy is rare, especially at a fintech at this stage. The pace is fast, but it's productive fast, not chaotic fast. You're moving quickly because the work is meaningful and the team is aligned, not because things are disorganized. Cross-functional collaboration is strong, and people across departments show up engaged and willing to work through hard problems together. From a growth standpoint, I've learned more here than in years at other companies. The exposure to complex, high-visibility programs has accelerated my development significantly. Leadership invests in the people who show up and deliver, and there are real paths forward for those who want them. The culture is one of the strongest I've experienced. Leaders are accessible, direct, and genuinely care about building something that works for both customers and employees.

Cons

The pace and scope of work can be a lot if you're not someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats. It rewards self-starters, but if you need a lot of external structure to operate, there may be an adjustment period.
