Pros

The support staff and many of the doctors I worked with were genuinely kind, hardworking people who cared deeply about patient care. The clinics themselves are modern and aesthetically impressive.

Cons

In my experience, the operational model places heavy emphasis on maintaining a very fast-paced schedule and expecting doctors to become independently productive very quickly, often at the expense of sustainability and support. The onboarding process felt extremely accelerated (2 days) given the volume of operational systems, workflow expectations, pricing structures, and policies new doctors are expected to absorb while simultaneously managing a full appointment schedule. There was minimal protected administrative time built into the day, and multiple doctors openly discussed routinely finishing records, callbacks, and other responsibilities outside scheduled working hours. The culture also felt heavily dependent on constant self-advocacy in order to obtain basic workflow support or schedule adjustments rather than those protections being proactively built into the system. During my time there, frequent conversations among both doctors and support staff about people leaving the organization made turnover feel notably common and normalized within the workplace culture. Leadership was receptive in conversation, but many concerns ultimately felt reframed as individual adaptability issues rather than structural workflow concerns. While some accommodations were eventually discussed, it often felt reactive rather than preventative. This may be a good fit for doctors who thrive in a very fast-paced corporate environment with significant autonomy early on. For those looking for a more collaborative, sustainably paced culture with stronger built-in support and mentorship, this may not be the best fit.

Pros

Truly a supportive environment, if you are reasonable with your requests in the face of your own personal level of effort before a personal crisis, management will bend over backwards for you. The expectations are high for doctors, but the environment will allow you to grow if you have the ability to self start and take responsibility. Very fast paced and able to make production if you are able to keep up with the demand, if not that is okay, no penalties from upper management. They expect a reasonable amount of demand from DVMs and if a location doesn't work for you in terms of case load - either too much or too little, they will facilitate you to move to a place that you will be successful at. Any person in upper management is accessible to speak to about any concerns, you literally can text the CEO if needed. CE stipend - unlimited for cost of CE itself, unmatched, I have done multiple highly expensive and career valuable CE opportunities at CSU's TMI. TLDR: Supportive, fast paced, highly demanding for gold standard care and skill level, but fosters a place to grow.

Cons

Corporate environment, very small but can still be a shock for those coming from a non-corporate or private only practice. Similar culture issues to many other veterinary practices, not really their fault and they do try hard to reduce these things, but gossip and issues between upper management and medical staff are inevitable.

Pros

Love my team — the people, the energy, and the support we give each other. We have super fun events, plenty of free food, and a genuinely healthy work–life balance. I always feel like my manager and the owners truly cares about my well-being, supports my growth, and creates an environment where I can thrive.

Cons

Working in a veterinary clinic naturally comes with its own set of pros and cons. You truly get to be part of the organization’s growth, which is exciting, but you also experience some of the growing pains that come with a fast-paced and evolving environment. The industry itself can be challenging — there’s a lot of information, constant movement, and many details to stay on top of. Despite that, the team is consistently focused on improving processes, communication, and support. It’s a place where effort is made to learn, adapt, and make things better for both the staff and the pets we care for.
