Pros
Friendly people to work with for the most part, so I actually enjoy going to work in this industry! I'm used to more toxic environments and it seems like the gossip/cattiness is kept to a minimum here (only one unkind instance I've experienced so far for being different). Very nice that there are snacks provided and Doordash credit given on weekends. Direct RVT manager is very accommodating in helping you change your schedule when you unexpectedly need a day or few off!
Cons
Would be nice to have paid sick days and a 401K company match! Staff only get 25% off personal pet surgeries and dental cleanings...would be nice to have at least 50% off...please consider revising Sploot management! At cost medications for all meds please! Currently there is a very small at-cost medication list for staff. Also same day exam fee is not discounted for staff, which is not good when one of our own get sick unexpectedly. I personally would enjoy more scheduled surgeries/dental cleaning procedures per day...often only two or none. No Good Sam fund for pets in need or ability to discount services for struggling pet parents. Healthier snacks would be a plus!
