Pros

No pros left anymore. The product itself is losing its steam as competitors have similar or better products to offer with a less expensive price sticker. Total compensation used to be very good, by the industry standard, a few years ago but it took a nose dive considering the continued bad performance of Splunk stock.

Cons

Widespread culture of incompetence, harassment, nepotism and toxicity starting from the executive leadership all the way down to management level. The entire executive leadership needs to be replaced as they reinforce the culture of toxicity and prevent any hopes of transparency and change. There are very questionable processes and tactics being implemented to cover up feedback from the employees. The company is being run to the ground. There is currently a very high attrition rate and Splunk employees are being fed lies under a massive campaign of cover-up. Board of Directors needs to wake up!!!!! If this disaster and turmoil is not stopped soon, Splunk will be facing multiple lawsuits. 2 Heads of Customer Success Org (CS and PS) need to be replaced ASAP. What a shockingly toxic and political bunch of self- promoters?!

Pros

Good stock compensation for early employees, good core product, good name SF, good benefits

Cons

Incompetent HR, promotions about who you know, people are hired often who are not great fits but connected. Lack of development for management. Working with recruiting team on hiring for my team was a joke. Engineering community reminds me of a frat house at times. I feel Splunk could have a discrimination lawsuit coming any day based on hiring practices and what is "acceptable". Senior engineers don't have a place here.
