Ok for a short stopover on the way to a better company

Pros

Good company if you are political minded, and able to work within the confines of your job description (nothing more). If you are more ‘process oriented’ than ‘results oriented’, you will also be a good fit. Decent 401K, mobile phone reimbursement, and community (over slack).

Cons

Very difficult to make changes/improve the organization – (1) everyone knows they need to change, but no one wants to make the decision or absorb the pain of change (2) managers are not willing to delegate/mentor decision-making to their teams and are not familiar enough with the nuances to make informed decisions.

Pros

They pay solid and they have ambitious missions to improve as a company & culutre.

Cons

From the outside they advertise a modern culture. Once in, you see there are a few poor souls trying to make that a reality - but it is still way off. They are doing a cloud migration, but the company culture is still very legacy (tech wise) and there is a lot of discourse between the various technologies they try to jam into one suite. Not sure it will work out well. Their engineering stack/culture needs an overhaul. I would suggest they actually use the capabilities of Gitlab, open source more of their tools, take care of the simple things (packages for apps should not be so hard to find!), and go container/cloud first internally before you expect customers to.

Pros

Great product, bright people, huge market potential.

Cons

Sales Management doesn't value sales reps. Account segmentation and quota assignments are done in the dark and unpredictable from one year to the next. No longer customer focused.
