Pros

The culture is good. Loved working here and coming to work every day. The agile process here is also one of better ones I have seen in my history at various companies. The company has a good focus on design and try to understand the psychology of the users (which is important in a B2C environment) The CEO is great, really down to earth. Heck, if I met him in college, we might have been good friends.

Cons

Focuses too much on design and optimizing certain flows. Normally it is okay, but the product is maturing, and more efforts need to be done at new product offerings instead of repackaging existing product differently. Another thing is most companies are now AI first, and it will become a commodity in about five years, Spokeo should keep an eye out. Also, talk to customers. One of the benefits of B2C is that you have direct access to customers, which Spokeo can do better at

Pros

- 401k - free lunch - company events, conference 1/year - very strong engineering team, with a tech stack that is very stable - solid process, QA team is very good, they work really hard - strong dev ops team, very reliable, very friendly too! - very enthusiastic, and excellent culture team - lots of really good devs from top engineering schools (berkeley, stanford, etc. :P) - plenty of pto, and sick days - bike racks - gym reimbursement - vp of engineering, very down to earth, passionate, works very hard, and always in touch with devs - same for ceo

Cons

- 'flexible working hours' but stand-up is mandatory, and too early - competitive salary trailing silicon beach salary, but salary is still really good - lots of skilled developers, some have worked here for many years, but only a few promotions - changing company culture, could use some distractions in the office, growing a little bureaucratic, need ice cream
