Pros

free food everyday, nice people and fun events

Cons

The product has never worked and they would rather build the company off of dark marketing. They treat people that work there like slaves meaning limited breaks and monitoring your every move including having your phone at your desk. If you're on the phones, prepare to be yelled at every five minutes unless you can take on the mental repercussions.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Our priority in Customer Care is maintaining a high standard of service for our customers at all times, which includes supporting, coaching, and providing ongoing training for our front-line team members. We do not allow cell phones or electronic devices for personal use while assisting customers because we believe our users deserve our sole attention in providing a customized, distraction-free experience. While waiting for incoming calls, emails or chats, as well as during breaks, our agents are welcome to surf the internet, watch movies or listen to music at their workstations. Developing a positive work environment is both an on-going and evolving effort at Spokeo. We also make sure to provide each team member with regular breaks and full-hour lunch during their shifts. We encourage team members to reach out to their supervisors if they feel the need to take additional time between challenging calls. Our goal is to maintain a great balance between the needs of our Customer Care staff as well as the customers we serve.

Wasn't the best

Pros

Great food, office perks, somewhat flexible hours, good benefits for pt and ft

Cons

A really odd clique-like work environment. As many have mentioned, promotions are not based on merit but rather favoritism or nepotism. Large egos where there shouldn't be, incredibly high turnover rate and poor product. CS department deals with daily assaults from customers due to unsavory billing practices. High turnover in cs because you can only take the verbiage and "saving " money from disgruntled customers so many times. Talent is amazing in some departments but talented people are sometimes tasked to jobs/assignments far below their pay grade and capability.

Pros

Catered lunches, casual dress, fun sponsored work activities, and good health benefits.

Cons

Working customer service for Spokeo is tedious, most customers are very angry and it is very difficult to do the necessary steps for your quality assurance scores when you can barely get a word in edgewise with a customer. Also this place is a breeding ground for favoritism. People rarely get promoted on actual skill, it's mostly how popular they are amongst upper management. A lot of people get special treatment. For example rules would be bent for certain employees while others would be reprimanded and even fired for the same exact action. Also a lot of the upper management talks serious garbage about their employees. I heard supervisors say horrific things about co-workers.
