Pros

Some of the people I work with. The people that care. That is about it

Cons

What a joke. All these people care about is the money. How much money can they make. They don't care about patients or the staff or regulations. It is all a sham. The last CEO was a joke and the new one doesn't seem to have a clue. We have 7 patients and as supervisors we have to staff too. New grads on orientation are pulled into staffing and the CFO and COO don't give a crap. We tell them it isn't safe and they just tell us to figure it out and wave their hands at us. They hound us all day long for discharges and admissions, and they don't understand that we are working as hard as we can. We get hit, and punched, and spat at by patients. We have relatives that are out of control, and doctors who don't know what day it is, half the time. If another department decides they don't have the staff to do something it falls to the nurses. We had a decent CNO who fought for us, and helped us, and understood, but they ran her out too. Now it is a joke and there is no one clinical leading us. The bean counters think they know what is going on but they are a joke. So many of my co-workers are thinking of leaving this hell hole.

Patient Safety Hazard

Pros

Some of the staff were nice.

Cons

Pt safety is not a concern. You will take care of multiple ICU patients who board w/ you in the ER while being on a CODE team. There is no one to help watch your patients while you are in a code. You have multiple high acuity patients at a time with no help. If you have to give a critical result to a MD, you have to chase them down because they do not carry phones. This place is scary to work in. No one seems to care that their licenses or patients lives hang in the balance. This place should be shut down.

Pros

Friendly Nursing staff. Nursing staff is very helpful with each other.

Cons

Work nurses to death. Understaffed and overworked. Easy to send nurses home when over-budget. Will not think twice about patient nurse ratio when over budget. Patient safety becomes a concern with nurse/patient ratio.
