Pros

Decent benefits and okay work/life balance (especially those that work in HR - they seem to get away with working from home a lot). Pretty stable company, although since the CEO change probably some worries among employees.

Cons

The company doesn't really seem to progress especially when it comes to investing in technology and salaries. Very stuck in the old ways on many fronts.

Pros

No union is a plus; the annual Christmas party is paid for by the company including alcohol; the shop is clean, bright and mostly air conditioned; a lot of good people to work with; decent communication from above about corporate goals and progress; strong focus on safety.

Cons

Comparatively low pay for almost every job function, especially while touting "competitive compensation"; below average benfits; "Americanized" style management meaning the bottom line is all that matters; the work force is treated with contempt; management is very cliquish and does nothing to hinder favouritism; high turnover in a number of job functions due to pay, politics lack of repsonse by management to concerns; archaic computing technology (Windows XP and Office 97); management that likes to pidgeon hole people;

Pros

Clean, good group of people for the most part, decent benefits, good work/life balance.

Cons

Management. As others have said, since DAE purchased StandardAero it was all downhill. Upper management no longer cares about the day to day problems that cause masses of people to quit. Winnipeg is a line on a balance sheet. Salary. They will ALWAYS say they are competitive, but they are absolutely not. I know personally of 12 people within the last year (all engineering staff) who quit for a minimum $20,000 raise. Other companies will continue to steal SAL Talent because of the poor salaries.
