Ok to work but forget it if you want to progress

Pros

People are excellent. Store managers (well where I am) are very good especially the GM Brand name Customers Flexible schedule ( if you do not work you do not get paid!)

Cons

Work area to fix computers (not all stores have a dedicated area) Training is more of a selling pitch than actual technical know how Expected to fix all issues with computers, do set ups, manage the store area, serve customers within 30 seconds and have breaks etc. whilst on your own. Pay is no where near Best Buy No benefits for Part Time. No full time positions available local to you. Lack of career development from store to corporate (not all of us want to be General Managers) Lack of Talent utilisation (most are second jobbers, high school, experienced)

Good hands on experience. word.

Cons

Managers don't listen Cap is 14.00 an hour Would work for 10 hours straight, and wasn't allowed to take lunches, because the floor is more important than you. Most managers are more focused on getting a bonus than making sure the store runs smoothly, and if you want a normal life while working at staples you can forget it!

Pros

Customer interaction, being able to work on computers and talk to people, fixing their problems. Its a rewarding job experience.

Cons

The pay could be better, the work could be spread out between more people and the hours are sometimes a little crazy.
