During my first week, a coworker said, "If you make it a year, you'll probably be here for a while. But many people don't make it a year." The reason for this is simple: the culture is very toxic, and many of the senior managers would not even be project managers at any other company due to their unprofessional behavior and lack of experience. If you are talented, you can count on the fact that your work will be stolen by management and presented as his/her own. During my short time there, I witnessed many people leave. Many of them were tired of being yelled at (with profanities included) in front of teammates, and quite a few were tired of the dishonesty throughout the company. In fact, I witnessed a senior manager ask a sales person in front of 5 teammates, “Why are you all so ***** stupid?”
My best day at the company was the day I finally left, which was less than a year later.
As far as the interview process goes, there were many red flags including senior managers who didn't know how to interview (it was the first time for one VP) and plenty of inappropriate comments. For example, when the hiring managers described my potential teammates to me, they made fun of the team behind their backs and even used the word “useless” for one of the troubled employees. I was too excited about the opportunity that I turned a blind eye, but you have the power to avoid months of misery. Just say no, if you get an offer. Your work will never be valued, and you will spend the rest of your life regretting your decision.
One last note: if the recruiter tells you that a recent change in senior management has addressed the negative reviews online, do not fall for that lie. I did, and I can tell you that there is still an unbelievable amount of problems with the culture there. It would take a complete re-haul to fix this disaster.
