Pros

Starbucks is great in the fact that they offer flexible schedules for those that need it (students, stay at home moms, retirees, etc.). It is a busy fast paced environment that is focused on the customer's happiness and relationships between the employees and the customers. If your a social person who loves interacting with people this job is perfect for you. They seem to offer accessible advancement to those who want it.

Cons

It is a tiring job at times. Working with a younger generation you get your share of diverse work ethics. I am only 23 but I can tell you there is a maturity gap and a laziness that is seen in some of our younger employees. Store managers can either be gems or duds. I've seen someone stay with the company that should have been fired a long time ago and corporate just turns a blind eye on them. Its unfair to those who witness it everyday. Other managers have been relentlessly pestered by dm's and yet they're doing a good job with the employees, customers, and store. Labor is always an issue, at least with our current manager. Lowering the labor hours takes away from the extra things we have to do everyday to keep the store to the health standard Starbucks has set for itself.
