Underpaid, Overworked.

Pros

Honestly, work is work. My manager, and senior co-workers delusional on what was going on since they have been working as a skeleton crew for so long and didn't let that bring them down. This made me what to do better, and give it my all.

Cons

Understaffed, underpaid, revolving door, and the opportunity to go running around like a chicken w/ there head cut off for $10 an hour. This was supposed to be a part-time gig with the intention truthfully to learn how to make all sorts of coffees and teas with the dream of possibly opening my own shop, so why not learn from "the best". Quickly learning with the lack of staffing ended up being "forced" to work more hours, faster, harder, and very high stress. Our location was allocated or supposed to have 7-9 Baristas on the floor, we ran a skeleton-crew 4-5. Handling drive-thru, uber eats, lobby, and mobile orders was a constant joy in my and coworkers days. If we ever got down to 2-3 (not even joking) the lobby would be closed, as well as all electronic orders. Thankfully everyone I worked with were seasoned veterans which made it easier... People look down on Starbucks employees "ohh you just make coffee, shouldn't be to hard". I still keep up with ex-employees all of them are long gone, and said it was the same till the very end.

Pros

Structure and easy to get into

Cons

Union busting and district managers are absolutely hell to work under unless you are in their good graces even if they talk badly about your coworkers to you and then turn around and talk badly about you to your coworkers

Pros

You get to work a very inclusive team and get to have fun on your shift making coffee they give you amazing benefits as a starting job, you are only required 20 hours to qualify

Cons

Corporate Starbucks doesn’t know how to treat their employees and continue to make stupid decisions, like cutting hours, cutting partners, or expecting too much like fast times in drive through but yet a high connection score you can’t have both
