Pros

Benefits are great if you are allowed to work enough hours to even qualify for them

Cons

Rarely gives you the hours you want or need. Punishes you by not giving you hours if you have literally any unavailable time and aren't ready to do the footwork yourself to try and pick up shifts at other stores (where shift supervisors use borrowed partners for the worst jobs they can think of). The pay is trash and they WILL NOT help you fill out necessary forms if you are trying to get any state benefits or aide. Will schedule you for just shy of hours needed in a shift for breaks so they can squeeze every ounce of labor out of you they can without giving you a break.

Pros

At a higher level, as a store manager you really do own the business in many aspects. If you enjoy building a team and connecting with your community, this can be a great company to work with.

Cons

Company preaches a lot about culture but it ultimately comes down to your direct leadership. A lot of inconsistency in how the approach to the work is conducted. Sometimes a feeling of disconnect between the ask and the resources provided to complete.

Pros

Lots of free coffee, flexible hours, learning how a company uses metrics to schedule

Cons

High turnover of district manager and store managers. We had an employee who was scheduled to open with the manager, who consistently was late or overslept his shifts. Management not only continued to put him on the open shift, but decided to open the store 30 minutes earlier--at 4 am. Waking up at 3, and closing the store at 10 other nights really accordioned my sleep and it wasn't long before I couldn't function.
