Out of the many stores I worked at, I saw favoritism being exhibited all across the board with store managers. People are able to call out or not show up for their shifts without warning and not be penalized, while others who are five minutes late get write-ups.
Managers have also hired partners based on their cultural background as opposed to their level of competency. I can't even count how many undeserving people were promoted, just because they shared the same background as the store manager.
Managers come in late all the time, will stay in the back and only come out to tell you you're not doing your job correctly in the amount of time allotted. All in all, it's a stressful experience if you end up in the wrong store.
