Pros

Good benefit packages, employee discounts, constant training, ability to advance from barista (entry level) to shift supervisor if you put in the effort, build relationships with regular customers, meet interesting people

Cons

My store manager had a lack of experience in the particular field. He lacked knowledge and we often had to contact the regional manager for information.

Pros

- free coffee - great product - decent salary and bonus

Cons

Pay: if calculated using the ACTUAL amount of hours worked, salary is just a few dollars more than a shift supervisor. Be prepared to be on call 4am-12pm daily , work on your days off, and lose all sense of the term 'work-life balance'. There is none, and there will never be one if you truly put in what it takes to make your store succeed. Communication: be prepared for NUMEROUS time wasting text/calls/emails that drag on to communicate important as well as unimportant details which can and will change. Benefits: the benefits package is decent, but be prepared to have your health deteriorate substantially. During the years I have committed to my job, I have numerous conditions brought on from the negativity and stress. ( Mind you, I've worked retail with other companies for a total of 15 years) Respect: I have had a few DMs walk into my location and say some horrifying things to my team, publicly. Everything from their looks, smile ( seriously?!) , medical conditions, etc were an "opportunity". I've had conversations communicating the effect the tone and delivery of the coaching conversations have on morale and all I got in return was increased negativity.
