Pros
Maybe I was hoodwinked by management, but I really believe that Starbucks is committed to being the best coffee company in the world. The corporate culture is extremely conducive to asking questions and growing your knowledge of the industry. The free pound of coffee every week doesn't hurt either. Management makes it a point to artuclate changing vision and/or important notifications.
Cons
The store environment can be taxing on any employee. You are supposed to learn volumes of information during the training period. Middle management is a little sluggish to work with you on internal mobility.
