Pros

Flexible schedule, great social/fun environment, free drinks, a great foundation for learning core customer service skills.

Cons

"The worker bee often gets worked harder." I found people in a higher position than myself taking advantage of myself and others who have a strong work ethic. Kids not showing up for their shifts.

Pros

Being there long term has allowed for a great work life balance since I have proven my myself. The culture is changing, but mostly a good atmosphere. Howard Shultz is a great leader and I love who he is and what he stands for.

Cons

Not that impressed with the direction of the IT department. The leaders are not that strong.

Pros

Excellent training program and awesome co-workers. SBUX really puts a lot into making sure Partners are trained well and receive support. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Cons

It's retail, so the pay was not the best (even for non-store positions). Benefits were acceptable. Loved the free pound per week and free drinks
