Pros

Great benefits, great leaders, growth opportunity, honest and open work environment. Great training and team work.

Cons

Claims is severely understaffed. Mandatory over time year after year more than likely bc they pay less than other companies for the work load they expect which leads to people leaving the company. They stop your bi weekly hours at 77.5 hours and the mandatory over time puts you directly at 80 hours so you’re technically not even getting over time pay. Management says they want quality claim handling then push metrics and give you write ups bc we are so understaffed with high call volume that we are unable to meet both quality and assistance to customers. constantly hiring unqualified people to fill the staffing shortage who then create bigger issues and then quit leaving extra work for other adjusters to fix and deal with.

Pros

Salary is okay, not great, but okay. Health insurance is good if you don't have an 'unusual' issue like diabetes...

Cons

When I first started at State Farm a few years ago, it was an okay job. They were moving away from the mass resignations that had been an issue for a few years. Now.... it's different. Management has started hounding people about everything, but especially adherence. Being out of adherence by even four minutes will get you an angry message by multiple managers. The workload has increased, and we are massively understaffed but instead of trying to figure out how to assist, or even approving OT, the solution is mass micromanagement. It is AWFUL. I want to leave like half my team, and a good third of the nearest teams, already have. People are quitting in mass because the job went from bland to horrid, and it looks like there's no plans to adjust.

Pros

Higher than usual pay and healthy bonuses based on premium growth. Excellent campus. Signing bonus

Cons

Terrible 401K Pension terminated to new hires High turn over Common for employees to burn out after one year No real work/life balance Poor leadership that quickly labels employees on how well they adapt to knee jerks work/life changes No product discount. No perks (they see perks as a conflict of interest and not based on merit)
