Pros

Certification and licenses. Unlimited over time. Great co workers. Company pays for CPCU and AIC certifications.

Cons

Mass firing for issues no one was every warned about. Adherence system is on a point system and can easily lead to termination. Micro management. Hard to move up in the company. Low salary so alot of overtime work to earn a decent amount. Constant negative feedback and little positive feedback.

Pros

The benefits are okay. SF is one of the few companies that still offer pension plans. Time off and paid vacation time.

Cons

I will let you guys on a little secret. The reason why senior management push claims is because the company gets huge profits off the loss on the back end as well as profits on the front end premium payments. So the more claims we complete as reps the more pay senior management and company make. They don't give a damn about 'you' or the 'customer' it's about the 'Money' and death metrics are in place for them as a loophole and a poor excuse to not pay a fair share of bonuses, merits and pay raises and to work you to death and then dispose of you before retirement if you make it that long. And the sad thing is more companies are transitioning into this failure. Any company that mass hires hundreds of people for the same position every quarter Is strictly about quantity over quality.

Pros

At the beginning the people were and continue to be the best part of the company, but with ever new change it seems like something dies on the inside. At least some of the managers understand and try to speak up but the people at the top don't seem to listen.

Cons

With all the new metrics it seems like they are finding ways to not pay people. The job has become very impersonal and now they want reps to go out of their way to make the customer happy. Problem is that if the employee is emotionally drained are they really going to care about that policy? It seems like everything is being taken away that made this a great company to work for. I feel like the long term goal is to downsize considerable and attempt to run the largest insurance company on a shoe string budget and 5 reps total.
