Pros

- secure job - ability to move around to different departments / offices - nice rewards for pursuing educational/insurance designations

Cons

State Farm as a whole operates in a passive-aggressive fashion, without the ability to resolve conflict in a healthy manner. Departments operate in silos, the result of which is very poor communication, turf-wars, and duplication of work efforts as normal behavior. State Farm's top management and Executives have worked here for their entire career, and are well-versed in perpetuating the dysfunctional corporate culture, but not very good at being leaders. There are no consequences for poor performance, and those of us who do try to make a difference are treated as being difficult. Unfortunately, good workers don't generally have the skills for long-term employment in a negative, politically charged bureaucracy.

Pros

Salary & benefits, good relationships between adjusters in the field.

Cons

Dilbert-like corporate culture, marginalizing of employees, dishonest management, ivory tower mentality of upper management., no loyalty to employees, constant changes for the sake of change, no honest feedback allowed from the employees who deliver your "good neighbor service."

Pros

Great Pay, Bonuses, and PTO

Cons

State Farm is no longer the company it used to be and honestly I’m embarrassed to even say I work for State Farm. They treat their employees horribly and morale is at an all time low. The micromanaging has got to stop. There has to come a point where management trusts their employees or why are we even working? Hire robots then and they can do our jobs. Nothings ever good enough and no appreciation.
