Pros

Good benefits. Job security (because they ate dio understaffed)

Cons

Been working for this company for 10 years. Before all of the "restructuring" this felt like a career, employees were appreciated, cared for by management and you could feel that all the way up to the CEO (that has since retired). We were encouraged to succeed, to enjoy helping the customers recover because that was our goal. Now... new CEO... new structure.... it is all about numbers, metrics.... treated like were are nothing but robots that need to make that mark! The brand is changing because employees are NOT appreciated anymore, all stuffed into a number of outputs like a computer program, Now being seen as replaceable because State Farm is hiring just about anyone these days to fill a seat. No work life balance. With these new changes this place feels like a job, not a career anymore.

Not the State Farm I knew

Pros

Keeps food on the table

Cons

What can I say, I began working for the company when the previous CEO was in charge, when the company was much more family and people oriented and the harsh attendance points system wasn't a thing. My department has a lot of overly obvious favoritism (they don't even try to hide it), upper management flirting with subordinate employees, upper management wasting time by laughing it up in their cubicles while the workers struggle to hear from how much they laugh, upper management being controlling and inventing lies about different departments, and most recently, forcing eating schedules on people without asking for their input/preference. I miss the old State Farm so much. Morale in the department is extremely low. My advice to any potential applicants: Don't do it. Spare yourself. But if you're that desperate for the work experience, get in, get your work experience, then move on to something better -I would give senior management 0 stars if I could-incompetence and poor communication
