Pros

Raises and bonuses every year, Good Benefits, on site cafeteria, coworkers, insurance education and tuition reimbursement, vested in pension after 5 years, overtime is 1.5 and holidays 2.5 pay

Cons

A lot of changes and less training than when I started. A big push to be more of a call center environment than a team environment . Work to life balance has changed. Stressful to deal With customers while trying to Maintain metrics put forth. Heavy focus on quantity not quality

Pros

Pros are the work is rather easy since we have a lot of employees to share the workload. Benefits are good and time off seems to be industry average. Hard to get fired unless you steal time or fight somebody. Easy to qualify for the annual bonus. State Farm will pay for insurance designations and has a degree reimbursement program.

Cons

Politics in everything you do if you want to move up in the company. For the #1 insurance company the pay compared to other companies is significantly below. 401K matching is only $900 no matter how much you contribute. Hard work is not recognized.

Pros

Perks of State Farm are the environment (loved working with most of the people), benefits are excellent, if you put forth your best work effort you can advance within the company easily.

Cons

MICROMANAGEMENT, workload (especially in the contact center is overloading, sanction system that is set up is HORRIBLE (no write ups and its pretty much a scenario where you can be terminated for any minor thing done since Ga. is an "AT WILL STATE". Lastly, COMPENSATION IS HORRIBLE. Recent raises were given but WAY BELOW MARKET AVERAGE. Recently hired with another major insurance company doing the same position and they pay almost $10,000 more (while offering benefits, bonuses and yearly raises) so don't let STATE FARM fool you. There are plenty of other companies offering the same and more. NEVER SETTLE..
